I was so excited to get a job offer yesterday for the position I interviewed for at Region 10 (one of the social service agencies here in Charlottesville)!! I'll just be working mostly on the weekends and only during hours that Steve can stay home with Eliza.
But I'm really excited about it- my first real, out of college job! My official position title is Mental Health Specialist, and I'll be working at the Wellness Recovery Center which is a 9-bed residential program with interventions and support for people experiencing an acute mental health crisis. It gives people an alternative to inpatient hospitalization. I'll be leading some of the educational and crisis management groups and probably be doing some case management too. Yay!

Yeah!!! So exciting. Congratulations and good luck. Is this the same position that Jessica had?
Thanks, Marlo! No, this place just opened at the end of April of this year. I'm not exactly sure what Jess did, but I think she was already in Texas about that time.
That is great news...I think you will enjoy working part-time. It's enough to keep your interest and skills up but not so much that you burn out or get resentful of the commitment. I am grateful for part-time hours!
Congratulations! I think it sounds like very interesting work. Good Luck!
Congrats & Good Luck
